Roebuck Bay Marine Park
Roebuck Bay contains a wealth of cultural and natural riches. It's a striking landscape, revered for its big tides, mangroves, red cliffs, aquamarine waters and intertidal mudflats teeming with marine life.
However, the WA Government is proposing a marine park with no sanctuary zones for this marine hotspot. If approved, this would make it the only marine park in WA’s oceans lacking such vital protection. Last year, more than 7,000 WWF supporters sent submissions demanding that at least one sanctuary zone be gazetted within the Roebuck Marine Park and we’ll continue to work with the WA Government to ensure this happens.
