One of the things I’m most passionate about is sharing my love of nature with as many people as possible! Whether it’s on radio or at public speaking engagements, it’s just fantastic to be able to tell exciting stories about Australia’s unique flora and fauna.
Most of my work for WWF is centred on project management for threatened species in the southwest region of Western Australia. Before WWF I worked as a postdoctoral researcher for Uni of Queensland (Threatened Species Recovery Hub) and have a Bachelor of Science (Ecology and Conservation Biology) as well as Honours and PhD projects related to birds and tourism.
I have expertise in birds, protected area management, nature-based tourism and recreation, connections between people and nature, Australian vegetation assessments and restoration and community outreach and engagement in conservation.
Most of all I just love spending time in nature, whether that’s in the outback or in an urban park. Some of my favourite things to do? Has to be birding, diving and snorkelling. But apart from my passion for nature, I love food and wine, travel, yoga and arts and crafts.
